This comfortable and airy Bandon vacation rental home has amazing ocean views and convenient beach access. Walk miles of gorgeous beaches and enjoy nearby world class golf courses. The main living area is upstairs, along with the master suite with king bed and private full bath, another full bath, and a second king bedroom. There is third bedroom with 2 queen beds, a family room with twin trundle beds, and a full bath downstairs.
Enjoy Wi-Fi, smart TV, inside laundry, garage, propane BBQ, and deck. Full kitchen with dishwasher, disposal, and other appliances and cookware.
You will be the only guests in this home. There is a garage with a propane BBQ and extra parking, a full deck, and amazing views. We will probably only have contact via email and phone.
Bandon is one of the most beautiful and picturesque beaches in the world. Beach access is on the other side of the house next door. (Beach access directly through the dune to the west is prohibited to prevent erosion).
Old Town Bandon with shops, restaurants and pier is an energetic walk or a short drive away and a fun activity. The house is in the "Jetty" area, which is near sea level and several blocks away from the actual jetty and across the river channel from the Bandon Light House, now part of Bullard's Beach State Park. ( There was a regular foghorn, but it appears to be discontinued. The foghorn served a valuable safety function for the local fishermen and boaters. Many people enjoy the nautical sounds, while others prefer to use ear plugs at night IF it is running.)
Pets: Up to 2 dogs are welcome for a fee of $20 per pet per day.
We recommend an automobile, and have plenty of parking with a garage and room behind for additional parking.
Minimum rental age is 25 years old.
It's a short walk/drive drive to Old Town's shops and restaurants, and about 5 miles south to Bandon Crossings' great golf or 15 minutes north to Bandon Dunes Golf Resort.
Bandon, Oregon is a wonderful coastal retreat, with quaint shops and restaurants, a crabbing and fishing dock, and charter fishing. It has miles of lovely beaches, tide pools, wildlife, and pounding surf. There's lots to do: horseback riding on the beach, flying kites, kayaking through the Bandon Marsh, fishing for salmon in Coquille River, exploring the Sand Dune National Recreation Area (about a half hour drive), or serving as a base for day trips, such as south to the Redwoods National Park in northern California.
GOLF:
Some land is meant for Golf. Bandon, Oregon is one of those places. Bandon Crossings Golf Course is a unique and interesting 18 hole course with carts available, and recommended as a hidden gem by Links Magazine, and ranked by GOLF Magazine in the top 100 courses in the US under $150.
It's famous neighbor, the world class Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, includes the golf courses of Bandon Dunes, Pacific Dunes, Pacific Trails, Old Macdonald, and the Sheep Ranch. Join golfers from all over the world playing these fabulous golf courses.
Our guests can enjoy golf at Bandon Crossings Golf Course at the favorable Crossings Club rates, including a cart.

The Dunes House at Bandon is located at 1265 6th St. SW, Bandon, OR 97411. Please note that some online/GPS maps do not show the address in the correct location. You can follow their directions until you get close, then please check below for accurate directions.
Check in time is 4 pm.
From the Portland area (or Eugene): go south on I-5 from to the turnoff to Drain, Elkton and Reedsport on Highway #38 (exit #162). Take 38 to Reedsport and turn south (left) on Highway 101, through North Bend, Coos Bay, and Bandon.
From the North Bend airport: ask the car rental agency for directions to Highway 101 south, and follow it to Bandon.
From the south along I-5: go north on I-5 to the Winston/Green turnoff, highway #42. Follow the signs along 42 west past Myrtle Point to the town of Coquille. From Coquille at around Mile Post 11 you can turn left to Bandon on the 42S highway. It is about 20 miles on a very winding road to Bandon. When you reach highway 101 go south (left).
In Bandon go west (towards the ocean) at the signal on Fillmore Ave., then take the first left onto 1st St. SE. Turn right onto Jetty Rd SW. Make a hard left onto Lincoln St. Turn right onto 6th St SW. The house is at the end on the left. (Some online maps place it incorrectly).

Wonderful visit.
This is an excellent home, great location, on the beach and short walk to town. It was spotless when we arrived, well maintained and all the supplies we could need, even some we don't usually see in a rental. Communication was very good, all messages answered quickly. We had a problem with an appliance, it was replaced the next AM. The topping was, instead of notes all over the house saying "don't" there was a note telling us to help ourselves to what was left in the cupboards. Very positive feeling. We definitely would have come back to this house next year if it wasn't already reserved.

Another Great Time at The Dunes
We have stayed here a few times in the last couple of years. Either with our family of 8 or just my wife and I but always with our dog. It is always the same, when you walk up to the main level, we are just amazed at the views. Great house right at the ocean and close to old town. Bandon Crossings is a great course and you get a discount staying at the Dunes. Karla is very accommodating to work with. This is the place to stay when visiting Bandon.

This was our third time staying at the Dunes House.It's not a fancy house but it more than makes up for it with the great combination of views, beach access and closeness to town.You can park your car for a week and not miss out on anything.The views are absolutely breathtaking.The fence does need to be repaired to make it more dog friendly.
We're glad you could return. Some big winds were hard on the fence last winter. We will have to figure out a better way than just create a big wind sail with a solid fence.
Fabulous view
What a gem! This house is in a great location and has a fabulous view. Perfect set up for a family with adult children. The house is a bit older and it shows in the bathrooms especially but you soon get over that with the great layout, fully equipped kitchen, and the outstanding view. The house is in a great location for anyone wanting long walks on the beach or wanting a longer walk or quick bike ride to old town. We’ll be back!
