Our townhome is in the Brooklyn neighborhood, with neighborhood shops and eateries. Food carts are nearby, as well as the Aladdin Theater, a Portland landmark, and the Brooklyn park with kids play structures. A short drive or bus ride will take you to the Sellwood/Westmoreland, or Clinton/Division neighborhoods with their own great eateries and shopping.
It's only a short 10-12 minute drive to the Oregon Convention Center, or downtown Portland, Portland State University, or OHSU (Oregon Health and Science University), or OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry). Another few minutes takes you to the Oregon Zoo.

1. Visit the Portland Japanese Garden
Often considered one of the best Japanese gardens outside Japan, it's a peaceful hillside garden with ponds, tea houses, and excellent views of the city. Many travelers consider it Portland's signature attraction.
2. Walk Through the International Rose Test Garden
Portland's nickname is "The City of Roses," and this garden is one reason why. It features over 10,000 rose bushes and some of the best views of downtown and Mount Hood on clear days.
